First time trying a WW2 plane and I must say, it really is a different experience from the other types of modelling.

10 June 2006

The seat belts are folded Tamiya Masking Tape. (Thanks to G-man for the tip)

Cockpit is painted using Tamiya Enamel XF-71 and dry brushed with Flat White

25 June 2006

Airbrush Semigloss black and then with Mr Metal Colour Aluminium (No. 218)

Subsequently, airbrush the colour scheme using Gunze Aqueous

H56(Intermediate Blue), H(328) Blue FS 15050, H(315) Gray FS16440.

Using bamboo skewer to scratch along the panel lines.

And use cellopane tape to 'stick and rip' the paint off the body.

10 July 2006

Scratch build a platform with Evergreen 'L' styrene and a ladder using thin brass wire.

The base is a square photo fram from Ikea at S$9.90.

It's overlayed with a piece of A4 size card case from Popular.

The 'floor' panel lines are scribed and primed.

Scratch build 2 support rig behind the wheels.

14 July 2006

Time to weather the decal..

Apply Decal Softerner onto the decal. Make sure the decal is completely wet.

Wait for about 30s and start using a hard surface to scrap the surface.

Don't overdo the scrapping.

Scratch build a ladder... not great.. but I tried... :(

15 July 2006

Gantry Crane :)

16 July 2006

Now left detailing of the base and touching up :)

23 July 2006

Minor details.. added boxes, laptop, a mug, etc..

Still need more detailing.... box signage, bits of paper on the table.. etc etc etc

Hope can finish in time...
